And The Winners are ……
The 13th year of the Arun Business Partnership, Business of the Year Awards certainly didn’t prove unlucky for Littlehampton based AJS Labels. The company were awarded the prestigious Business of The Year 2010 Award. In addition they won the Training & Development Award and company owners Andrew and Jayne Scrimgeour also scooped the Business Person(s) of the Year Award.
AJS Labels was formed some 18 months ago as a result of a Management Buy Out and in that time has turned a substantial loss into a healthy profit whilst retaining all its 50 staff and recruiting 10 more.
It was a full house as around 230 local business people gathered at Old Selden Farm, Patching to see 18 awards presented to companies from the Arun district. The awards, all sponsored by individual local companies, ranged from New Business of the Year to Green Business of the Year.
There were some amazing stories of companies not only weathering but flourishing in tough economic times and the delight of all those present was evident as each winner was announced.
