The easiest way to update your website is using a Content Management System. These can be ‘plugged in’ to your website, or your web designer can build one for you. Most systems make updating your site as easy as amending a Word document. A good one will let you add new pages to your website, add, format or delete existing text, remove images and add new ones, and add ‘keywords’ to the background of the site. By making regular changes and improvements, you’ll improve your search engine position on Google.
There are many different ‘off the shelf’ Content Management Systems available. You may find some which offer you too little in terms of control over your site, or come across others that include so many bells and whistles that they feel bloated and confusing.
