I would like to share with you my recent journey to the Dining room Chichester where myself and my partner had the most cosy and romantic dinning experience.
Low candle light, an open fireplace, beautiful décor and the wonderful sounds of a piano was what welcomed us when we walked through the doors. The staff was lovely and welcoming and the atmosphere from when you walked immediately placed you at ease.
When you arrive at a restaurant like this you sincerely hope the food is as impressionable as the venue itself, it was!
Flying through my starter of Trio of Pork Terrines, Pork belly, Ham Hock and Liver I eagerly awaited my main course.
I had a 8oz Fillet Steak with Pan fried Foie Gras & Caramelized Shallots with Peppercorn Sauce, it was absolutely mouth watering! You could tell a lot of effort and care went into preparing it and the steak was cooked perfectly.
Lastly I tried a Warm Chocolate fondant with poached star anise infused pear, gorgeous for those chocolate lovers out there! My partner tried the warm blackberry polenta cake (which had Orange zest crème fraiche with it) which he said was stunning (it looked stunning to).
All in all I am very pleased from my experience at the dining room, there’s so many places you eat and ether get let down by the food or the service. I was impressed by the impeccable service and the exquisite food there was nothing I could complain about….. Nothing!
When you visit The Dining Room why don’t you try a selection of cheeses, which are imported from the finest cheese makers in the UK! Please contact them if you have a special request for a future visit as they only keep a small selection to ensure peak condition.
The Dining room offers a range of mouth watering Danish Open Sandwiches to more elaborate dishes such as homemade Foie Gras Terrine, lovely plump Irish Oysters, superb local fish, game and of course delectable homemade Sorbets, Ice-Creams and Desserts.
