The event, organised by the Business Partnership team and CAM Ltd, welcomed 52 people from an array of local businesses who, in teams of four, pitted their golf wits against each other in a friendly competition.
Designed as an opportunity to bring like-minded players together, the Golf Day was an outstanding success. Not only did everyone have a fantastic time but the event also raised £860 for Chestnut Tree House from the kindness of the players buying raffle tickets, throwing money in the charity bucket if they missed a green and from the auction.
Michael Pisko, from CAM who helped organised the event, said:
“It was a great day that for once was not spoiled by the weather. All the players seemed to enjoy themselves and the buffet put on afterwards was extremely well received.
“Unfortunately, no one was lucky enough to hit a hole in one and win a car but the day was about raising money for such a good local cause as well as having a great time.”
Mike went on to say thank you to all the local companies who sponsored holes on the day and to the Arun Business Partnership team for all its support. The venue and date for next year will be announced shortly and if you would like details, please contact Mike on 0870 1900 220.
The prizes winners were as follows:
Team Prize for 1st - H&B Sensors with Angmering Taxis coming in 2nd
Par 3 Nearest the Pin - Was won by Paul Warriner
Par 3 Hole in One Challenge Prizes - Thanks to Peter Cooper for putting up a golf and Chandlers for putting up a BMW as prizes for the hole in one - we had a couple of near misses but no one got it this year!
We would also like to thank the sponsors for their support - G. Allen, FA Holland, Rabbit, CS Concrete, Inspire Leisure, Adams Beeny and New Carlton Kennels.
Prizes for the raffle were kindly donated by:

It’s now wonder that over £800 was raised for Chestnut Tree House when you consider some of the great prizes that were on offer which included an England Rugby Shirt (courtesy of Eagle Oak) and a signed boxing glove of Henry Cooper’s (courtesy of Football Bananas).
